I went to Nats because I wasn't doing much about my fitness, and needed a little jump start to get me back into training and moving in general. Four weeks in the NLC seemed like a manageable duration, and a good chance to see what working with Nats would be like.

I was able to get measurable changes in my body in the four weeks while working at an intensity that was right for me at the time - and that happened to be predominantly through mind body classes! The NLC also gave me the kickstart I needed. I now do and see value in doing yoga classes consistently, going to get back into strength training after developing better movement through yoga and eat to nourish my body in a way that suits me - and I'm looking great and not carrying around guilt or shame imposed by others!

We are conditioned so much into thinking that we have to hammer ourselves in high intensity classes, workout every day, perhaps even twice a day, and eat a diet consisting of chicken, brown rice and broccoli. We are made to feel bad about ourselves when we are judged and shamed by others who don't have our best interest at heart, when we don't fit the mould of what others think we should be, and when we don't buy in to a certain type of lifestyle.

I've worked in the fitness industry for a long time and seen it all. I've had a number of trainers over the years, and you generally find that they offer an approach based on a formula they've developed over their career, like a one-size-fits-all approach. But one size never fits anyone!

It was very obvious that Nats is real, and she's genuinely passionate about creating a positive experience for her clients, and one that is tailored specifically to each individual. She listens, she cares and she's encouraging.
