The CYCLE artwork was inspired by astronomy principles, such as the Saros cycle that predicts the movement and eclipses of the Moon and Sun. The circle-shaped structure diffuses two rings of light, inwards and outwards, which recalls the diffuse circular light during these eclipses, whether partial or total.

Visitors can sit down or walk on the structure to activate different scenarios of light animation. An ambient cyclic music is evolving according to the level of interactivity with the artwork. An infinite variety of combinations offers users the opportunity to explore the visual and sound environment of the artwork.

L’oeuvre CYCLE a été créée en s’inspirant de principes d’astronomie, et plus particulièrement du cycle de Saros, qui permet de prédire les éclipses de Soleil et de Lune. L’œuvre en forme de cercle permet la diffusion de deux anneaux de lumière, vers l’intérieur et vers l’extérieur, qui rappelle la lumière circulaire diffuse lors de ces éclipses, qu’elles soient partielles ou totales.

Les passants sont invités à s’assoir ou à marcher sur la structure afin d’activer les divers scénarios d’animation lumineuse. Une musique ambiante cyclique évolue aussi selon le niveau d’interactivité. Une variété infinie de combinaisons offre aux utilisateurs la possibilité d’explorer l’environnement visuel et sonore de l’œuvre.
