Once you understood the basic principle of spiral force generation, you can slowly start to use it to develop some basic understanding of impact training.
As a general rule it's better to start with a light contact, building up to a stronger impact in weeks/months (depending how often you train, but in any case it's not advisable to go impact training more than 2/3 times per week, depending how hard you hit the pole/target).
After you try one movement, you can also try to do combinations, using 2/3 or more different strikes, as you build up more coordination.
More advanced, you can also move your feet/position while you hit the pole, also trying to condition your feet and shins, hitting and "hooking" the pole with your leg while you advance or rotate.
