The Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) runs a number of different programs and assessments, but they were looking to produce an animated video for the promotion and support of a particular one: the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) assessment.
Our team worked in conjunction with CMEC's content experts to craft a script that was engaging and informative, while still being efficient and focused on results.
The main challenge with this project was to address the fact that the content, in many ways, was very similar to a previous video that our team produced for the CMEC, so we needed to make certain that viewers weren't confused between the two videos. That's why, even if we used the same character set as the former project, we created fresh and unique scenarios for those characters to exist in.
Given the huge potential audience to market the video across the country, the final version was delivered in both English and French and was primarily distributed on the CMEC website as well as on the various provincial Ministry websites. It was also used in a variety of social media situations, as well as presented live at several speaking events.
