conscious, relaxed, assorted, healthier, more efficient, and
happier? The self-improvement industry provides us a series of
enigmatic rituals, rules, and not least a wide range of products to
achieve those goals.

The performance “You gonna structurally start to improve …” is critically
questioning neoliberal economic systems that seem to invade various spheres of
life.
It involves the audience and creates a space in which invisible order seems to
dominate. Surrounded by sound collages, which have numerous self-optimization
advices, one will be part of an enigmatic ceremony, which can be both pleasant
and disturbing but also amusing.
A massage-device from the 1990s as a promising panacea builds the centre and
fills the space with the sound of a machine. The visitors are accompanied by
ritual treatments and service oriented facilitators through their self-optimization
process.
The performance oscillates between performative solo elements and audience
participation. Ritual actions from the self-optimization machinery are to be
brought together as choreographic fragments. Thus, we acquire both a verbal
and a movement-based vocabulary, which contributes to our supposed
improvement and increase to efficiency.
