During the month of May, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a myriad of chefs in San Francisco participated in a weekly takeout dinner series for Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate. 5 unique chefs and their restaurants contributed one dish to create a unique weekly menu wherein all proceeds were donated to local charities and non-profits founded to stop AAPI hate.

The original organization and movement began in March in Washington D.C. by Kevin Tien and Tim Ma, and eventually expanded to include San Francisco among other cities like Detroit, and New York.
