In December 2020, the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) announced its “Climate Ambition" plan to address the impacts of climate change.

The Climate Ambition launch enhances the industry’s commitment to driving down its CO2 footprint to achieve carbon-neutral concrete by 2050, and unites the world’s leading cement and concrete manufacturers, in taking decisive climate and sustainability action.
