Bright Dynasty (Winter 2022) explores the nebulous, luscious, and luxurious relations living between people, places, materials, signs, symbols, dreams, memories, histories, shapes, colours, and bodies of all kinds. An installation of paintings, sculptures, and texts is carefully designed aggregating over time.

Dances punctuate the installation, drawing attention to the psychic relationships and energetic frequencies between materials, channeling the movement of curiosity between these nebulous relations as an elixir for defining oneself. Not a return to naivety, but a decision to manifest (as a mixed race Black, queer man) a space to publicly encounter life through youthful wonderment, in awe of everything and everyone, the way one sometimes can (albeit within a world of sophisticated systems and structures of oppression).

Bright Dynasty and its dances are fashioned with mood, tone, time, memory, desire, humour, words, and emotions, evoking powerful images that live in space through the body, resonating with the bodies and imaginations of others.
