This file is a short walk-around for one of the multiplayer levels I was assigned to on Blacksite: Area 51. It demonstrates the random timing, three-dimensional placement and response of the ambient sounds I placed to trigger according to the players movement. I used FMOD and Kismet scripting included in the Unreal 3 Engine.
In this video you will be able to hear:
The wind fade in and out as you walk outside and back inside the building
The creaks of the war damaged building
The sporadic, broken PA announcement system with the alien voices
Mortars and bombs detonating randomly in the distance
Other detail oriented sounds include:
The creak of the train as you step inside the car
Wind whistles coming in through the openings
Chains rattling from the ceiling
Water dripping
