For an upcoming short documentary I want to discover violent movement in a different temporal manner. Due to budget restriction and inexperience with Phantom Flex workflows I have opted to go the cheap and dirty way.

This was shot on the Panasonic AU-EVA 1 with, the always trusty, Sigma ART 18-35 at F4, 1/1000th, ND 0.6. I tried rendering the clips at small incremental changes at a time and because of the week codec the imaged suffered immense compression and drop in quality very quickly. Will an Amira's 200fps at a much more solid codec work better?

I made sure to have a simple background and minimal detail. The optical flow managed to generate the folds in cloth and flailing of hair quite well which I was surprised. However, take note of my hands. They suffered the most artifacting. Perhaps the defined edges make it more noticeable.
