This video is an exercise from the an instruction manual called: Becoming the North Atlantic. The manual is my attempt of mediating my journey through becoming and representing the ocean. The ocean-becoming was attempted through series of exercises and activities that were born through conversations, interviews and experiments during my research period.
My future hope is that this manual can serve as a starting point for a new kind of formalised relationship with nature, that could eventually lead to the creation of some kind of legal entity or representation that could impact policy, where decisions are made with nature and not about it.
This manual is a result of the research project Pedagogies of the Sea between October 2019 and March 2020 at the Master program of Social Design of the Design Academy Eindhoven.
