FX DIRECTION/SEQUENCE DESIGN
This was for a direct-to-DVD movie for "Battlestar Galactica." Although an epic space battle is featured, as originally scripted it contained less than a dozen shots. I pitched expanding the sequence to better sell the scale and tell the story. This previs was created as a presentation of my concept.
ADDITIONAL
I did final editing of the previs and added dialog, music and sound effects to make the action clear and enhance the pitch.
It also includes a rework of the scripted skydive scene (originally both characters engaged in a gun fight while wearing parachutes; I thought hand to hand combat during freefall might be more exciting).
Ultimately, the producers liked this rework and patterned the final after it.
