An audiovisual light installation - about the feeling of being “at the bottom of a well”. The 2020 pandemic has left a certain imprint on humanity. A closed world, limited space and movement, a distorted information flow - all this is a new reality. We see that freedom is close, like a person who is at the bottom of a well, you just need to reach out, but getting out is not easy at all. This is the concept of tunnel vision disease, when attention is focused on one short-term element, peripheral events are inaccessible and unpredictable.

The metaphorical image of a well in the works of Edgar Poe "The Well and the Pendulum", Charles Baudelaire is a portal, an abyss, it symbolizes a borderline state. One way or another, we are all in a "borderline state" in pandemic times.

The Inverted Well is an audiovisual, fully performative installation. In the daytime, it is a static art object. The whole structure is light and weightless. It almost merges with the surrounding landscape, reminding us of the proximity of freedom around.
