ASHLEY LINDSEY | Choreography Reel
An NYC-based choreographer and educator. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) and is the Director of UNCSA’s Summer Dance program.
His professional career began in 2007 when then Artistic Director Carla Maxwell invited him to join the Limon Dance Company. He later went on to perform with the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Helen Simoneau Danse, VIA Dance Collaborative, and Zullo/Raw Movement.
As a choreographer, his work has been commissioned by UNCSA once in 2012 and most recently in 2019. In addition, he has presented his work in the Reverb International Dance Festival, Pushing Progress Showcase, Capezio ACE Awards, and White Wave International Dance Festival. He has released four short films “Drilling Holes Into the Sun,” “Pantsuit Power North Carolina,” “Salvage What You Can,” and "Triune."
Teaching credits include adjunct faculty at the UNCSA. Guest faculty at Elon University, Duke University, Joffrey Ballet School, Steps on Broadway, and The Limon Foundation. Internationally he has taught master classes and workshops in Japan, Mexico, Bermuda, and Italy.
