I recently competed in the Miss Exotic World Competition at the Burlesque Hall of Fame. Here are my Queen of Burlesque intentions :

My queenly intentions are to inspire others through performance, education, & living authentically. Life asks we remember our power - & live empowered - with a playful sense of wonder, delight in sensual existence, responsibility to self, love, & mutual respect. Burlesque is a radical act of intimate artistry. It is shifting paradigms as we breathe.

The art of burlesque awakens authentic expression & courageous nude artistry. The display of vulnerability of the human onstage & off is true strength. When shared, it is the connective web to understanding that which is bigger than the singular.

I seek to remember -for myself and all other humans- that through burlesque we can be the best versions of ourselves onstage and off. I hold myself and others accountable with grace and ease, encouragement and love.

Inspiration is big magic.

Thus, inspiring each other, we create a new paradigm of unity, respect, love, and awareness for ourselves and all beings. Through the art of burlesque, we reawaken humanity to the rich living that art, entertainment, love, diversity, honesty, sexuality, & damn lighthearted celebration bring to this only life we have.

What is burlesque?
Burlesque is an art form based in movement, creativity, & striptease. Hearkening to it's histories of satire & sexuality, current burlesque performances fuse all type of art into a unique form of entertaining performance art that is unique to the performer. Fusing cabaret, showgirl, vintage, pinup, glamour, performance art, dance, theater, story telling, and much much more, burlesque awakens audiences to their own power of the erotic and a sense of delightful play.
