Time, it passes by quickly. As do emotions. Happiness, fear, and sadness. Just like tears, rain falls because of gravity. Gravity is a shared bond that holds us all together, every human, animal, building and more. It is the universal saviour that is acknowledged. So what is time? Is it our alarm clocks, telling us to wake up and start something new with our lives? Is it the watches, that keeps us in line and on track? Or is it the moments and seconds we count down as we are slowly approaching our final breath? As it is malleable, it can be any of these things. But I choose to believe that time is every treasured action that we do. That new skill you learned, the new friends you’ve met and that new discovery that you were searching for. It’s in every opportunity that is presented to you and you reach for it, breaking down barriers and obstacles in order to achieve it. It’s in every wish and dream you make as a child and in adulthood. So take that risk, grow and become who you were meant to be, but never lose sight of who you were before. Before heartbreak and love, before wrinkles and old age wrestles with your body’s motions and before the light and life blinks out and you are left to float with the stars, as we all are meant to be. Time is the gift of life, given to all worthy of it. So cherish it.
