The movement of people is always confined by the nature of gravities. To challenge the dominance of gravity, ramps and stairs are created to realize the free flow in vertical spaces. Breaking the restrain of gravity, a space with dual readings or multiple readings of orientations is created.
In this 30’x30’x40’ volume, ramps and stairs are inserted into the space, leading the circulation with two orientations in dualism. Two apertures on the facade work as portals to space. The stairs guide one of the orientation while the ramp guides the other, such that they connect two portals in both vertical and horizontal orientations.
People in two directions have been separated when they enter the space, and finally leading to gathering at the end of the path through stairs or ramps, standing at two orientations with the sense of illusionary anti-gravity.
