This project is a new collaboration between ARC Just For Mums group, Manchester-based animator Anna Pearson and director / producer Jessica Wheeler, with an aim to improve maternal mental health through the art of animation.

Exploring traditional stop motion techniques, the project focuses on identity and transition. By sharing individual narratives, using their own creative approach, the group collaborated on a short animated film that collectively unpicks the misconceptions surrounding the maternal transition. The short film will be previewed, raising awareness of some of the issues and challenges of peri/postnatal depression.
