1. List the design principles you were assigned: Rhythm and variety
2. List the names of the typeface(s) you used: Norwester and Cocogoose
3. Time-stamp and description of your mask path animation (1 required): 4:00 mask path of emphasized clock movement squiggles, 14:00 mask path of "variety" text across screen
4. Time-stamp and sources for each of your sound effects (2 required): 1:00 clock ticking, 4:00 clock ringing, 8:00 sky and bird background noise
5. Identify which assets you created in Illustrator using the Pen tool (2 required): clock, clouds, individual balloons, balloon house
6. What visual metaphors did you use, and why?: I used the clock ticking and its circular shape to symbolize rhythm and repetition of sound. The clock and the word rhythm bump side to side and were squash and stretched repeatedly to mimic a beat. The squiggled mask path lines also implied a movement of sound. For the balloon animation, I used different color balloons moving at different rates to showcase a variety of colors and movement. I wanted to use variety to not only keep the audience engaged but also to build up tension/suspense for what was to come, i.e. the balloon house rising.
