Oklahoma State University, School of Architecture

ARCH3353: Advanced Architectural Graphics and Theory of Representation

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture: Adam Lanman

Project Description:
The class has been exploring different methods of quickly and effectively representing conceptual thinking in graphic format throughout the semester. Student’s began this exercise by collecting their own original digital photography, primarily of regional agricultural, religious and other significant typologies, and importing those images into a digital raster graphics software (Adobe Photoshop). Students then manipulated and re-assembled their photos to create architectural monuments that were then digitally located (via google earth) on the site where John M Johansen’s Mummers Theatre once stood in Oklahoma City. The final step to the process involved utilizing the timeline editor function of Adobe Photoshop and frame animation tweening to create activity and interest around each student’s digital monument.
