Amanda gave a courageous and very open account of her own companies wrestle with acting on purpose, even playing clips from internal meetings as they discussed what being true to their ethos meant and how they should respond to government policy on withdrawing super early. She reflected on the value of stopping to pause, zoom out and reflect as individuals and companies - something that we’re often not good at. And only then putting your purpose into action, with your team at its core - with principles such as self-care, celebrating the good, being responsive and solving problems together. Because ultimately complexity means it is impossible to have a plan for everything and we need to be brave and admit “we don’t have the answers,” openly, honestly and together.
