A 25 seconds-long animation about Chinese New Year, to be played on SOGO Hong Kong's giant CVISION screen. Created in collaboration with Spinifex Hong Kong.
In the animation, a shiny firework travels through time, above evocative landscapes in different stages of civilization, and explodes spectacularly over Hong Kong’s modern skyline.
I based my animation on wide, immersive landscapes, to complement the very horizontal ratio of the screen (big as several tennis courts, with an 8K resolution).
The scenes are drawn with colored pencils and Photoshop, and animated in After Effects.
