David Krut Project and the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival is pleased to present A Million Unheard Suns by Neville Starling as part of the KKNK Virtual Gallery experience.. This work was created for the group exhibition Another Kind of Blue where artists were invited to create work within the blue colour spectrum with a focus on art and the artist’s connection with earth and its elements. Starling’s work recontextualises the universal visual, gnostic and temporal dichotomy of the blue of the dusk sky and the bright warmth of the sun; a finite call to action highlights courses of normalisation as it pursues this contrast through the prophetic framework of a final day where long shadows summon our very last night.
The physical installation is on view at David Krut Projects at 142 Jan Smuts Avenue Parkwood until the end of July 2020
