Here is a 3D animated visual runway of Evans’ animated characters, showcasing Evans’ final collection designs.

8-Bit is a project inspired by both vintage and modern graphic design, electronics, and videogames. The project evolves around Evans’ female 3-D animated characters; their personalities a driving force in both their appearances and actions. My animated women are accompanied by other technological imagery such as Binary code, the ‘Wingdings’ font, and classic 8-Bit pixelated game characters. Evans also responded to the increased dependency of technology since the global pandemic by creating an accessible and fun project to lift spirits; a result of Evans’ favourite virtual aesthetics. My animated women are a diverse collection of women, this project helping promote inclusivity in fashion and gaming for women of any size, ethnicity, and age. My processes in 8-Bit mainly consist of digital embroidery; both realistic embroideries to look identical to their on-screen appearance, and pixelated versions. Mixed media techniques also include patchwork, embellishment using unusual elements and objects, cutwork, laser cutting, digital print, and use of 3D animation.
