Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger was extremely fun to work on because Yordles are generally more cartoony and amusing that your normal bipedal character. A lot of the times they can be animated like bouncing balls and with a lot of squash and stretch. This joke animation actually was an old recall animation that I pitched and reassigned as a joke merely b/c it wasn't fulfilling the fantasy for the recall (more on that next week). But since Heimerdinger was basically carrying Pythagoras with him all the time, the question ultimately became: can Pythagoras carry Heimer?

In the joke animation Heimer asks Pythagoras if he can carry him in the air a bit, but to no avail. This directly connects to Heimerdinger's homeguard animation, however, as Pythagoras calls upon his other dragon friends to help share the weight :D.
