Here is my final result of CGBoost's Blender Launch Pad course low-poly car animation project.

Of course I never do anything straightforward (i.e. easy, lol), so naturally I had to do my own creative spin on it. (As Emeril Legasse would say, I had to “kick it up a notch.”) Which resulted in many side paths, wrong turns, ridiculous mistakes, and a boatload of priceless learning experiences.

Total time: 7 weeks to complete, 8-12 hours per day, including weekends. (I completely restarted the Mach 5 after a less-than-satisfactory first attempt we don't talk about. And yeah, I'm that motivated in Blender. XD )

Nine (9) separate .blend files

NOTE: I did *not* use any UV maps or texturing in this project. All "decals" were images I hand-placed on the models (vertex-by-vertex) to make them look as if they were applied to the cars. (The UV mapping and texturing chapters of the course come after the final render of the animation, so I had not studied those yet when this animation was made.)

Compiled and edited in DaVinci Resolve

NOTE: The Blender Launch Pad course had us set up the project dimensions as 2560x1080 (21:9 ratio) to give it a cinematic feel; thus, the black bars at top and bottom.

It's chock full of skills and techniques that give you a really solid foundation in Blender, even beyond this animation. (I'm only 75% of the way through the course, as I write this.)
