Right off the top, Candace Owens doesn't deserve to be legitimized. And the commentary made by Joe Biden and Maxine Waters is a non issue. The fucking jury in the Derek Chauvin trial was sequestered. End of story.
The notion that we have no systemic racism in police departments across this nation is utter bullshit. What Derek Chauvin did was indefensible. Period. According to Brett Favre, former football player, he can't believe that Derek Chauvin meant to kill George Floyd. Are you kidding me?
Derek Chauvin had 18 charges against him in 19 years:

Candace Owens may insist George Floyd wasn't a good guy. Derek Chauvin wasn't either. In fact, he wasn't a good cop in any sense of the word.
Since the Chauvin trial, we've had two killings. One was of 16 year-old with a knife where the situation isn't quite clear to us yet. I refrain from a "hot take" here, but we will be looking at this before Sunday.
(In the back of my mind, I think they could have acted differently to diffuse a volatile situation, but I need to dig deeper.)
But the killing of Andrew Brown, Jr., an unarmed man who didn't even own a gun, while serving a warrant and while he was driving away? That's pretty clear to me. Get him another day. Or how about shooting out his tires?

Let's take my fair city, the city of Boston. I love Boston, but I do not trust the cops here. I want them IN FRONT of me, not tailing me. I let them out of a side street or a parking lot every fucking time.
We have a long racist history here, as witnessed by the killing of Carol Stuart by her husband. They didn't even LOOK at him. And the spouse is always the first place good cops look.
Boston can't shake its racist branding because we don't deserve to shake it.
They tormented black men in Boston during this time, and they fixated on Willie Bennett.
Yeah. The Boston Police apologized. As if that were enough after what they did, which was make an already racist population even more racist.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has announced a DOJ investigation into the Minnesota police department. We fully support this, but Minnesota isn't the only place this must happen.
Like the Derek Chauvin verdict, it's a start.
As for Marjorie Taylor Greene, she's one of the most dangerous people in America. To brand her as a crackpot would be a mistake. We did that with Donald Trump, and he was elected. I believe that she will run for president. We must not take her lightly, and her rhetoric cannot be ignored. She's a dangerous bigot with weapons at her disposal. She feeds the right wingers red meat on a daily basis.
