This car was originally supplied by S.F. Edge of New Burlington Street, London to a Hampshire landowner. As with every other 'Colonial' it would have been cross country and then speed tested on Brooklands track. It is believed to have been modified for military use, probably a towing vehicle, in World War One, after which it returned home to domestic duties eventually forming part of the Sword collection and in the Danish National Motor Museum before being purchased by the present owner. Many of the 'Colonials' would have gone to the colonies such as Australia as it had raised ground clearance.
