Tom Crews is based in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has led an impressive coaching and teaching career. Since 1984, Tom has held seven different head coaching positions, leading various teams to championships. Throughout his experience in coaching high school sports, Tom’s leadership helped his teams earn various titles, undefeated seasons, impressive rankings, and notable records.

In recognition of his efforts, Tom the Coach of the Year on multiple occasions throughout the country, district, and region. His commitment to good sportsmanship and teamwork has helped his teams work together to accomplish great goals. Along with team building, he has built strong relationships with his team members. Placing a strong emphasis on team relationships, Tom has stayed true to his values by staying in contact with many former players. He truly enjoys seeing what each player decides to pursue in life and how their sports experience has shaped them as individuals.

Tom’s favorite sport would have to be basketball, though golf is another huge passion of his. He pursues this passion in his free time, playing leisurely whenever possible.

Though Tom’s latest coaching gig wrapped up in 2018, he still remains to teach. Currently, he teaches U.S. History and U.S. Government. Other subjects he has experience in teaching include AP Human Geography, AP Government, World Civilization, Sociology, Civics, Physical Education, Health, and Drivers Education.

Prior to pursuing this career, Tom Crews attended Indiana University at Bloomington to receive his Bachelor’s degree. Shortly after, he attended Indiana University at South Bend for his Master’s degree. Since then, he has led a steady career specializing in areas he is highly passionate about.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys educating himself on current and past politics. He is a true patriot at heart and tries to stay as educated as possible, especially as he takes his influence on the younger generation seriously.

Tom also sticks to strong morals and values. He is a devoted Catholic who holds traditional morals. On top of all these passions and values, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs.
