Help us prevent the spread of measles:
• People with measles can spread it to others for 5 days before and until 5 days after the rash appears. They need to stay away from any event and public spaces like schools, churches pools, libraries, the zoo, grocery stores, community centres, and sports clubs for this time, to stop the spread of measles.
• If you have been in contact with a person with measles, and are not known to be immune, you also need to stay at home and away from public spaces for 14 days from the last contact you had with the person. If you don’t know if you are immune to measles, contact your GP or call Healthline 0800 611 116.
