Collating digital content this year presented challenges, much of the filming was done at a distance with COVID measures in place. Despite the difficulties, lots of content in this submission provides a great visual insight into how the pandemic transformed our lives.

It begins with a piece to camera on the evening football fans returned to the stands for the first time in months, followed by a visit to a GP surgery to see the first Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines being given.

The opening of a testing site at Gatwick Airport containing shots of the empty arrivals hall demonstrates how the travel industry has suffered during the pandemic. Similarly, the interview with a headteacher on the re-opening of schools shows the time he spent making the school COVID safe.

In the final clips, an interview with a sheep farmer addresses the uncertainty of Brexit shortly before the transition period ended.
