Coach O Frenzy to Benefit Basket of Hope
Nonprofit partners with Kelly Orgeron and Cane’s to support sick children
BATON ROUGE (January 11, 2020) – Basket of Hope, a non-profit that delivers baskets to sick children, is hoping the Coach O craze will brighten the day for many sick children in Louisiana.
Baskets of Hope has partnered with longtime supporter Kelly Orgeron and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, to provide a Coach O souvenir to donors.
The first 100 people to donate $300.00 or more to the organization, will receive their very own life-sized Coach Ed Orgeron cardboard standee courtesy of Raising Cane’s.
“Our Coach O cutouts have been widely popular with our Customers. With the excitement surrounding Coach O and this incredible season many have ‘disappeared’”, “ says Raising Cane’s founder and CEO Todd Graves. “That got us thinking how we could use this to benefit the community,” Graves added.

Basket of Hope's mission is to give hope to children diagnosed with serious illnesses through a personal hospital visit and delivery of a Basket of Hope. Age-specific baskets are filled with toys, games, crafts, educational items, and books to enhance play and healing for their age. As an option, parents may choose to receive a “Hope Tote” filled with gifts to nourish them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Basket of Hope serves patients and families in pediatric hospitals across New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
