Dave “El Pres” Portnoy, founder of Barstool sports is looking for someone to document his daily life so he posted an application online last Tuesday and within hours, 12k people applied. So Friday morning, I packed all of my equipment and headed toward Daytona by myself with no plan or credentials to where barstool was one of the sponsors of the race. I came down with the mindset of making a video to get his attention over the other 12k applicants showing Barstools Sports impact on growing NASCAR with younger viewers. The rest happens as it always does. I meet and become friends with people who become key components of the weekend and my instincts of the moment take over...being in a once in a lifetime experience to try and be ready and prepared at all times to capture the moment.
