The project revolves around the exploration of various states of water in order to achieve
an attuned environment by merging architectural science with the cultural characteristics
of a place. As a response to the unit’s brief, the thesis seeks to explore the atmospheric
qualities of mist as one encounters a piece both sensorially and spatially whilst the geothermal
properties of water seek to respond to the technological challenges of the project.

Derived from the Icelandic landscape and the formation of the basaltic rock, the architectural
intervention seeks to integrate within the shape of the landscape whilst the black
volcanic rock acts competes against the light concrete.
