In the performance "The Age of Basic Shapes" Felix explains at the beginning the complex geometry of the visible universe. This was, according to Felix, not always so complex: 3.4 billion years ago the universe consisted of the "Basic-Shapes", like the pyramid, the cube and the sphere.
In order to attain a higher geometrical degree of complexity a connection of the different Basic-Shape groups was necessary.
The lecturer has brought three spheres and becomes the "storyteller". He lends the spheres different voices, thereby bringing them to life and letting them philosophize about the process of linking them with other Basic Shapes.
At the end of the performance Felix acts as a prosecutor, inspired by Charlie Chaplin's famous speech from the movie "The Great Dictator". The thoughts and conversations revolve around the repression of the individual and an entire group.
Felix uses imaginative science and humor as a bridge to serious socio-political issues, thereby spanning a holistic arc from the big picture to emotional issues of the individual.
