This assignment was a group project where students were asked to create a 2 minute edutainment based on a TED Talk of their choice. Our group chose Ted Talk by Brian Little called “Who Are You, Really? The Puzzle of Personality.”
For production, our group divided the audio into 3 parts and each of us animated a segment. My role in the project was to animate the last part and edit the sound.
For this project, we decided to use frame-by-frame animation technique to animate our characters, which allowed us to have dynamic transformation between the scenes. To ensure that our characters remain consistent throughout the animation, we developed a stylesheet that lists all the different traits of our characters. We also used soft, pastel color palette to match the speaker’s friendly and playful tone.
Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro were used to make this video.
