Wafa Johal, UNSW
Dr. Wafa Johal a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Previously she was a researcher at the CHILI Lab and Mobots Group at EPFL, Switzerland. She holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the University of Grenoble-Alpes. Her research focuses on creating acceptable and useful autonomous assistive robots using social signal sensing, affective and cognitive reasoning and interaction design. Her latest work has investigated the use of social robots and tangible robots in education.
