From the depths of despair 25 years ago to now becoming one of the shining stars on the continent of Africa, Rwanda is a country on the verge of great things. However, with 50% of the population under 20 years old, there is a great need to educate the next generation.
Through the Friends of Rwandan Education and Race for Rwanda, our mission is to raise funds to build a secondary boarding school in a remote area of Northern Rwanda. In that area, there are no schools nearby – children instead must travel many miles to go to school. This boarding school will provide much needed electricity, shelter, food, and continuous education.
