Oltre ad aver acconsentito l’accesso ai nostri dati personali e alle nostre vite private, abbiamo attribuito alla Rete una delle funzioni più importanti del nostro cervello: la memoria. La memoria è la capacità del nostro cervello di conservare informazioni e sentimenti che accumuliamo nella vita. La memoria a breve termine, a quanto pare, non è più indispensabile, in quanto tale funzione è stata tramandata a Internet, o meglio, ai social-network. Crescono dubbi, versioni parallele, sfocamenti e turbolenze nei nostri pensieri. Dubitiamo della nostra mente anche per i ricordi più vivaci. Ci domandiamo se tale evento sia successo in tale maniera o se la memoria ci possa ingannare. I nostri ricordi così diventano spazi, immagini, rumori e parole sempre più frammentati, la nostra mente in mancanza di ricordi, crea buchi, rotture e distorce la materia. “Ricordi Frammentati” rappresenta la ricostruzione dello spazio nella nostra mente dove si nascondono i nostri ricordi sgretolati di momenti passati, della nostra infanzia, luoghi che non hanno conosciuto la tecnologia per essere impressi in eterno. L’uso della tecnica della fotogrammetria è stata incrementata alla creazione di un programma appositamente scritto per moltiplicare esponenzialmente gli elementi e costantemente allontanarsi da essi in tempo reale. Si tratta dunque di un elaborazione in diretta e non di un video pre renderizzato. Un lavoro destinato a “consumarsi” con il tempo e a svanire del tutto proprio come i nostri ricordi.

Memory is the ability of our brain to keep information and feelings that we accumulate in life. Apparently short-term memory is no longer indispensable, as this function has been handed down to the Internet, or rather, to social networks. Doubts, parallel versions, blur and turbulence in our thoughts grow. We doubt our minds for even the most vivid memories. We wonder if this event happened in this way or if memory can deceive us. So our memories become increasingly fragmented spaces, images, noises and words, our mind in the absence of memories, creates holes, breaks and distorts the material. “Fragmented Memories” represents the reconstruction of the space in our mind where our crumbling memories of past moments, of our childhood, places that have not known technology to be imprinted forever are hidden. The use of the photogrammetry technique has been increased to the creation of a specially written program to multiply the elements exponentially and constantly move away from them in real time. It is therefore a live processing and not a pre-rendered video. A work destined to "wear out" with time and to fade away completely just like our memories.
