We have arrived at a renewed effort and spirit in the process on signing off on remote teaching and focusing on reopening our school for live instruction that will help prepare us for the next academic year.
This week, we will address and transition our staff on how the school will approach reopening in this next phase.
When students return to schools after closings, they will bring with them an extremely high level of need. In the direst cases, pupils will have experienced trauma in the matters of cramped housing, and food uncertainty, compounded by sorrow, lost and maybe even abuse.
To meet this situation, we will be ready to offer a complete program, and set-up services that address the needs of services and their families.
As a model school in special needs education, we will assign resources to provide the necessary focus on academics, health social services, and mental health development.
We will emphasize programs, systems and practices to provide students with a wide array of range of supports that will help them succeed back into schools.
In the after effects of the Covid emergency, this whole child method will be an all-encompassing way to guarantee that students and their families are able to receive important services and regain the momentum of positive learning.
Furthermore, teachers will be supported in learning how to successfully rebuild effective classroom relationships and learning.
This is our goal, this is our mission, this is what we will be emphasizing starting today, and we know that your passion is there, we know that your spirit is there and you know that every one of us wants that our children, wherever they are, whether they are in our school or the one’s we service at home throughout the year, it is our duty and our responsibility to help them grow in a positive healthy way.
