Black people made a significant contribution to British society during 17th-19th century, however their contributions have been left unrecognised. By way of redress I am using the cultural technique of quilting to give visibility to that which was deliberately excluded.
Through my project I am evidencing the power and responsibility that designers have in creating work that influences attitudes towards groups of marginalised people.
