Tonny was among the first teachers to start working for Brass for Africa, and learnt his first teaching skills in the Foundation in Brass Teaching course delivered by Paul Speed and John Watts.
Tonny is passionate about sharing what he knows, and most enjoys seeing students grow from one level to another. Testament to this is the superb progress we have seen in the students under his leadership at Root Foundation, Rwanda. He loves the trumpet because "in most cases it's the one with leading melodies and its sound makes me feel confident and good!".
He has recently started learning this Grade 7 piece by Allen Vizzutti, called 'Funk'. Enjoy!
