UCSF is honored to award alumna and former faculty member, Marilyn P. Chow, BS `70, MS `72, PhD `82, the UCSF 2021 Alumni Philanthropic Impact Award. This award honors an alumni who has made UCSF a philanthropic priority and whose gift has made a significant impact on the University’s ability to improve and advance education, research, and/or health care. Ms. Chow is a living legend in nursing and nationally recognized for her expertise and innovations in the in the regulation of nursing practice, workforce policy, and primary care. She and her husband, John Brosnahan, established the UCSF School of Nursing Marilyn P. Chow Imagine Fund in 2020 with an endowed gift, and a planned gift. The bequest intention will establish a distinguished professorship in the SON to forward leadership and innovation in nursing.
