ESI was selected as the CM/GC for this new higher education building that includes patient and simulation labs, an OMM lab, library, study spaces, open lobby, student lounge plus administration and faculty office and related building support areas.
The OMM lab accommodates 40 hydraulic tables for students to learn the techniques of manipulation in a room with lots of bright, natural light from the north wall comprising of floor to ceiling windows. 7 high definition monitors and multiple cameras allow students to view the instruction throughout the room. A research lab accommodates biomeidal sciences and clinical trials. Also included are six simulation rooms with state-of-the-art patient monitors and three control rooms.
The facility was constructed immediately adjacent the Idaho State University Health Science building and Renaissance High School. Sitework included parking, landscaping, site lighting, and water features. Due to its proximity to students, a detailed safety plan and disruption avoidance plan was developed to ensure the safety of all adult and minor students, faculty, and visitors.
