In this presentation, we shows the new innovative approach of harvesting autograft from targeted lower extremity condyle’s. With as small as a 6 mm cortical window and a fluid technique of drilling the cortical window and loosening the Cancellous bone and liquid bone marrow; this procedure has significant patient benefit, cost savings and much less structural defects then competitive devices. Additionally, a strong element to this device is its intrinsic value proposition. The Hensler technology has been clinically proven in over 21,000 cases globally and our universal autologous harvesting device is now available for foot and ankle as well as multiple orthopedic applications. The HBP-O fills the graft requirement for fusion surgery. The second method is the intramedullary technique, which is demonstrated separately.
The proof of concept and development of this now proven technology for this application was in partnership with Dr. Peter Highlander, a veteran foot and ankle surgeon out of Bellevue, OH. For this reason, we call this the Highlander procedure and ensured he was given his due in the patented methodology for the two procedures, for which he was so instrumental in developing with myself.
