The children will listen to a reading of the picture storybook My Heart Fills with Happiness by Monique Gray Smith, before reflecting on what brings happiness to their own lives.
The children will be invited to create 'heart stones' to keep next to their bed, which they can use as a tangible, daily reminder of the special people and/or experiences that "fill their heart with happiness".
This learning experience aims to support the children's developing sense of gratitude.
