Ernest E. Tschannen beamed Thursday, July 11, as he saw his name emblazoned on Sacramento State’s new Science Complex, which will open for classes this fall. Faculty, staff, and University leadership gathered for a name-reveal champagne reception in his honor. The 94-year-old philanthropist gave the University $9 million for the Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex. “Dreams really do come true, and this dream started over 30 years ago,” said Sac State President Robert S. Nelsen. “It took an Ernest Tschannen to come along and dream it with us.”
