When a Middle Eastern woman falls pregnant, she is forced to admit that her sexuality is a lie. ‘DYSPLA_two women’ is a 360 Artist Moving Image film, funded by Arts Council England and produced by art studio, DYSPLA.
Inspired by the 2018 National LGBT Survey which revealed that 68% of Britains's gay community avoid openly holding hands with a partner in public for fear of a negative reaction from others. Commissioned by Birmingham University Arts and Science Festival, Beatfreeks and supported by the Arts Council England, DYSPLA_two women is a 360 experience set on a train which, in the flash of a daydream, explores how barriers in society block the intuitive desire to connect with another person.
