Dr Jon Kok, Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)
Dr Jon Kok is a research scientist/engineer with the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) based in Townsville, Australia. Jon received both his BE (Hons) and PhD at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Before joining AIMS, he was with QUT as a researcher exploring a variety of advanced drone imaging technology, such as thermal, multispectral and hyperspectral systems. Now Jon is continuing his passion for drones and remote sensing through the research of various emerging technologies at AIMS, from aerial drones to surface and underwater drones. Ironically, he is very prone to seasickness when out at sea!
