When three veteran families struggling with PTSD and secondary trauma lose all hope, service dogs help them heal and imagine the possible. DOG WALK HOME bears witness to the stabilizing role service dogs play in their every day lives. Their stories are augmented by expert advisors who shed light on the science of the human-animal bond, secondary trauma, dog training and the reluctance of Veterans Affairs to fund service dogs as a treatment option for PTSD. An original score will be composed by Emmy-winning composer Patricia Lee Stotter for our finished film. (Currently in production.)
